The Academy of Math, Science and Technology
The Academy of Math, Science and Technology is a rigorous program designed to prepare students to pursue advanced degrees and careers in high tech markets. Students enroll in a four year course of study consisting of honors and Advanced Placement level classes and targeted electives, culminating in an internship the senior year. Students have the option to focus their studies on life, physical or technology sciences depending on his or her unique God-given talent and interests. The internship allows students to experience their career interest in a real world, hands on environment.

Director's bio:
Mr. Carr holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic University. Mr. Carr gained valuable real world experience while in college by working in Research and Development Laboratory that served the Nuclear industry for two years, and in the Energy Management industry for two additional years. Prior to joining North Cobb Christian Mr. Carr spent six years working on many different engineering projects as a Technical Sales Representative for Swagelok. Mr. Carr has been teaching at NCCS for 5 years and has a passion for seeing student develop their God given talents in the fields of math, science and technology, so that the Gospel of Jesus Christ may be taken to the highest levels of the workplace and Academia.
Mr. Carr is married to Cassie Carr, who has taught upper level math at NCCS since 1991. They have a daughter, Reagan, a 5th grader at NCCS.
