Directed Studies
The Directed Studies program is an internal educational program offered to students at North Cobb Christian School. We believe that children have been created by God with differing learning styles and strengths, Directed Studies is available to assist students who encounter difficulty with academics. The mission of the Directed Studies program is to train students to be independent learners, who are equipped to work to their potential in the classroom.
The program is comprised of three branches:
- Educational therapy is available for students with a diagnosed processing weakness. Our therapists are trained by the National Institute of Learning Disabilities. An additional fee is charged for this program.
- Tutoring is available for students who have gaps in achievement in subjects such as Reading, Math and Language Arts. There is an additional fee charged for tutoring.
- Mentoring is available for secondary students who struggle to keep pace with the program and need additional help to organize and manage school life.
