Seniors


NCCS has put together the following timeline to assist students and parents in making good decisions during High School that will make the transition to college easier and less stressful.  The following is a guideline to follow for Seniors.

 

12th Grade

 

  • Choose a rigorous course load based upon your ability level and future aspirations.
  • Continue to focus on maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Sign up for community service.
  • Get involved in extra-curricular activities.
  • Apply to at least 4 colleges of your choice before December 1st.
  • Take the ACT and/or SAT again.
  • Complete and submit scholarship applications and essays before deadlines.
  • Put considerable time and thought into the Life Plan Project in your Senior Bible class.
  • Attend the PROBE and National College Fairs as they become available.
  • Participate in the Christian College Fair visit coordinated by NCCS.
  • Be involved and attentive during Career Day.
  • Attend the NCAA Clearing House Seminar.
  • Attend the Plan, Apply, Pay for College parent and student seminar presented at NCCS by the Georgia Student Finance Commission.
