You can participate at any time of the year and buy the book in anyone's honor (a student, a teacher, a staff member, etc). There will be a placard placed in the front of the book, and the honoree will be the first one to check it out if he or she so desires. Thank you for participating in a program that enhances our library and encourages our students to read!
Our Mission
The mission of the NCCS Media Center is to provide students, faculty and staff with appropriate, educational enhancing media.
General Information
The North Cobb Christian School Media Center supports the instructional program of the school by providing learning materials in all formats and creating a positive and inviting learning environment. The ever-growing library is a balanced collection of materials encompassing print, non-print, and computer technology. It includes state-of-the-art electronic materials and technologies to provide students and staff with the most current information.
The Reading Room, a special collection for our K3 through second graders, is located in the front hallway across from the staff mailroom. Our young students attend the Reading Room with their class every week for story time and check out.
Above all, the Media Center desires to instill a love of reading in students that will enhance their education and last a lifetime.
Circulation
Students may check out as many as two books for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, they can renew their materials one time in the Media Center or the Reading Room. When returning books, be sure to return to the appropriate location: Media Center books should be returned to the Media Center and Reading Room books should be returned to the Reading Room.

Computer Use
The Media Center contains student computer study areas. Students are welcome to come to the Media Center before, between, or after classes to access their own NCCS account as well as the Internet to work on student assignments. Classes may also reserve the Media Center for in class assignments. While using the computers in the Media Center, students must conform to the NCCS acceptable computer use policy.
Students may print or copy up to 5 black and white pages per day. All additional black and white copies are 10 cents per page. All color copies or prints are 40 cents per page.
Accelerated Reader
NCCS participates in the Accelerated Reader program for 1st and 2nd grade students. This program provides an opportunity for students to challenge themselves with literacy skills tests on specified AR books. We have over 1,500 AR books available for check out. When students have finished their AR book, they can go to the Media Center between 7:00-8:00 a.m. and 3:00-5:00 p.m. or to the Reading Room during their regular scheduled class visit to take an AR test.
