Middle School Curriculum
The middle school uses a variety of publishers to meet our curricular goals. Textbooks are tools; they are not the curriculum. The curriculum has been designed over the years by teams of qualified educators to provide biblically integrated, college preparatory level courses that meet or exceed state standards.
The 2013/14 Middle School Course Catalog is a list of courses offered at the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade level.
We believe students need to be excellent readers. We have built an outstanding reading program that begins in our early grades and is carried through the middle and upper school. Writing skills are also paramount in preparing students for the challenges they will face in the future. We focus on developing these skills at each grade level.
Spiritually, we prepare students with a thoroughly integrated biblical worldview in each course, as well as require our students to take a Bible class each year. We also conduct weekly chapels in which we train students as leaders in worship and service as part of the Praise team.
In addition to a rigorous course load, each Middle School student has the opportunity to take Fine Arts classes. Middle School students may select Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Dance, Visual Arts, or Theatre Arts.
