Middle School Textbook Information

At North Cobb Christian School, it is our goal to make your textbook purchases as simple and cost-efficient as possible.  In this age of technology, we believe it is critical for our students to have the best resources available to them at all times.  We recognize that we can achieve that through a variety of new, used, and digital textbooks.  Our textbook purchasing program will also give us an opportunity to address multiple learning styles and help our students raise the bar even higher in the area of academic achievement.  Please read all of this information to help you understand the textbooks your student needs to purchase to be ready for the 2013-2014 school year at North Cobb Christian School.

Textbook Information
We have posted a list of all of the textbooks required for Middle School students for the 2013-2014 school year. 
When you click the link to the right, you will find a textbook list that lists every course we offer, along with the books required for that class. 
Please notice that it is very important to have your student's schedule in hand while you are looking at the textbook list.  There are often different books to consider when you are looking at regular or advanced classes.

Virtual NCCS Bookstore
We have selected MBS Direct to organize our Virtual Bookstore and to be our official online textbook provider.   Critical in our selection process was to choose a provider that is committed to keeping textbook costs low and one who has a user-friendly process for making purchases.  MBS Direct has an entire team of dedicated individuals committed to your satisfaction.

In order to begin the process of ordering your textbooks and course materials, please follow these steps:

1. Access the NCCS Virtual Bookstore by clicking HERE (beginning July 1, 2013)
2. Select the courses in which your student is enrolled
3. Select new, used, or digital books
4. Course materials are shipped to you within 24 hours of ordering

In keeping with the commitment to money-savings, MBS Direct has developed a multitude of services designed specifically for our school:

Ordering your student's textbooks can be quite challenging with many uncertainties.  Again, MBS Direct is committed to your complete satisfaction so we urge you to consider MBS Direct for your textbook purchases.  They guarantee your student will receive the correct book for each class and their prices are guaranteed to be competitive. Other Options
If you choose not to go with MBS Direct, that is completely fine, but please pay careful attention to ISBN numbers on the textbook spreadsheet if you choose to go with another vendor.  Amazon.com and half.com often have new, used, and digital textbooks available at reasonable prices.  Many of our textbooks will also be available at www.chegg.com , an online textbook rental vendor.  If you go with Chegg, please notice that they usually rent books by the quarter or semester, so you will need to clarify that you need to rent it for the semester or year depending on how long the class lasts.  We would recommend that you compare several different sites in order to get the best price available.  Please keep in mind the MBS Guaranteed Buyback program.  Some other websites may offer this as well.  You might also be able to sell your textbooks to younger students if the same book is being adopted for the next school year.
