Dave Dorsey, Director of Athletics

Coach Dorsey is beginning his second year as the Director of Athletics after a previous stint from 2002-2005 as NCCS' Assistant Athletic Director. Dorsey obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/Communications from Samford University in 1995 and completed his Masters of Education in Sports Administration from Nova Southeastern University in 2004.

Dave began his education career at Mt. Paran Christian School as a teacher, basketball and baseball coach from 1998-2000. In June of 2000, he came to NCCS to teach History and launch the varsity boys basketball program. Dorsey led the varsity boys to three region championships and one state championship in four years. In 2002, Dave took over the varsity volleyball program and immediately led the Lady Eagles to two consecutive state championships and one state finalist in three years.He has been named State Coach of the Year three times and Region Coach of the Year four times.

Coach Dorsey graduated from local Marietta High School in 1989. He is married to the former Tara Knight of Kennesaw and has a one-year-old son, Luke. Click to email Coach Dorsey.
