Dates: June 12-16 (Monday-Friday)
Instructor: Mrs. Carol Coleman, NCCS Technology Teacher
Participants: Co-Ed campers entering 6th-10th grade
Description: Join us for a week of competition and fun as we crush the keys and improve our typing speed. While voice to text and texting keypads are continuing to become part of the technology practices we daily use, typing on a traditional keypad is still a valuable skill worth improving. Being able to type faster will help students become more efficient in time management for assignments requiring typed papers as a form of assessment. While a week of fundamentals and fun competitions will not produce a keyboarding pro, hopefully it will inspire a habit of practice to keep the skill progressing toward perfection. We will focus on fundamentals through familiar online typing skill builders and infuse it with group and individual competitions.
What to Bring: water bottle and a snack
