National Art Honor Society
![]() |
The National Art Education Association began an art honor society for the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have shown outstanding ability in art. The NCCS Chapter of NAHS strives to aid members in working toward the attainment of the highest standards in visual art, and to bring a Christian perspective to the artistic community.
In order to be considered for the NCCS Chapter of NAHS, you must be a junior or senior, have taken two (2) or more semesters in visual art, have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in visual art, and have a grade point average of 3.0 in academics. To be an active member of the NAHS, you must maintain the 3.5 GPA in visual art and the 3.0 GPA in academics. You must also attend the induction ceremony, monthly meetings and activities. Being a part of NAHS affords great opportunity to use and grow in your talents, to gain scholarships and prestige at a university. Not to mention, it will look great on your college resume.
There are many wonderful events planned for NAHS including monthly “Spotlight” displays of members’ artwork, gallery visits, guest speakers, and much more. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nate Rupp, Visual Arts Instructor.
