"A Night on the Nile"
$172,500.00 raised in 2017!
Thank you to all of our Supporters!
The ballroom was fit for a pharaoh at the 2017 Benefit Dinner and Auction - “A night on the Nile” - the Hilton Marietta Conference Center donned a life-sized camel, sphinx statues and a King Tut sarcophagus. Greeted by Cleopatra herself, guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and mingling while browsing the silent auction tables filled with everything from rock climbing, sushi lessons, designer accessories and fashion steals to vacations, family fun, and one-of-a-kind experiences with school celebrities. Our new online bidding system made bidding easy for both attendees and supporters bidding from the comfort of their own homes.
Next came a rousing and competitive "Dessert Dash" - an auction favorite where tables try to outbid each other for the chance to be first to select the most delectable dessert, leaving other tables to send a "runner" to "dash" to snag their dessert for the night. This over-the-top and hilarious portion of the evening raised $21,000 alone! Once the live auction started, bids for exclusive NCCS reserved parking spaces, trips to Hawaii, New York, the Magnolia House and an exclusive offshore fishing trip brought a lot of excitement as the auction paddles were raised often (and sometimes aggressively)! The end result of the entire evening was $172,500.00 raised for NCCS!
We are overwhelmed by the generosity of all of our auction guests and we are so grateful for the many supportive NCCS families that donated items, services and trips to the silent and live auctions. Additionally, we want to thank those that baked or donated a delicious dessert for the dessert dash, as well as our amazing auction committee.
