Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much should we give?
A. It is hoped that parents, grandparents and friends will give as generously as possible to North Cobb Christian School. Every single gift, regardless of the amount, is valued.
Q. What is the difference between annual giving (Eagles Annual Fund) and capital and/or endowed giving?
A. The Eagles Annual Fund is currently used to provide the difference between tuition and what our school programs actually cost. Capital funds are for facilities, building endowment, and special projects.
Q. What are expectations for parent contributions?
A. We hope that every current parent will make the Eagles Annual Fund a priority. Since each student benefits from the fund, we ask all parents to give to the best of their ability. Even if families receive financial aid, it is hoped that they will make a gift in order to join in the common mission of demonstrating community support for the school.
Q. How can I help the Eagles Annual Fund Campaign?
A. First, pray for North Cobb Christian School and for your participation in this year’s campaign.
Second, please give generously. Your donation, along with the gifts of others, will help to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and actual budgeted costs for this school year.
Third, please volunteer to help us accomplish great things through the Eagles Annual Fund Campaign! Volunteer responsibilities may include making telephone calls, writing short follow-up letters, or joining staff in making personal visits to corporations and foundations.
Q. Why volunteer to work with the Eagles Annual Fund?
A. To show your support for a school you care about.
To get better acquainted with other North Cobb Christian School parents.
To experience the pride of reaching an important goal.
To maintain and enhance the quality of a North Cobb Christian School education.
To ensure a bright future for our school and our students.
Q. If I volunteer, how will I know what to do?
A. All volunteers will be trained for their specific tasks and will work in conjunction with North Cobb Christian School Advancement staff members. If you are interested in volunteering to help with this year’s campaign, please contact Leigh Ann Geter by e-mail or by calling 770-975-0252 ext. 110.
Q. As a donor, must I pay the full amount of a gift at once or can I make installment payments?
A. Gifts can be paid in installments over a period of time through June 30, 2009. For example, a donor who makes a $1,000 pledge might choose to fulfill the commitment with two $500 payments over the course of a year.
Q. What kind of assets can I give?
A. North Cobb Christian School accepts a wide range of gifts, including, but not limited to, cash, securities, real estate, equipment, intellectual property, mineral rights, oil and gas interests, or limited partnership interests. All gifts are subject to review by the NCCS Advancement Office.
Q. I'm not affiliated with NCCS, but your institution interests me for personal reasons. Can I make a gift?
A. Anyone can make a gift in any form and in any size to North Cobb Christian School. Friends provide NCCS with gifts periodically, and these donors make gifts with the knowledge that they have invested in an institution they care about and one that is impacting the world for Jesus Christ.
