Second Grade Travels Back in Time
Second grade students recently "traveled" back in time to the 1840’s as they visited the Tullie Smith House located at the Atlanta History Center. Students observed what life was like during this time as part of their "Our Country Long Ago" Social Studies unit. Students walked through the actual rooms of the Smith's plantation home, met a blacksmith and the family cook, and toured the slave cabin, gardens and barn! Through the hands-on experiences on the farm, students were able to compare how life was back then to their lives today.

Middle & Upper School Worship Team Auditions
One of the most special things about NCCS is our opportunity to worship together each week in chapel! We are looking for students to be a part of our worship teams in middle and upper school next year. If you are a rising 9th-12th grade student, we will be having auditions on Wednesday, May 11, starting at 3:00pm. Rising 7th and 8th grade students will audition on Wednesday, May 19, starting at 3:10pm. You will need to learn and sing/play one of the posted songs outside Mrs. Wallace's room. Both middle and upper school students need to sign up for a time slot in order to audition, as well as pick up song charts and an application (including references that should all be submitted before your audition) outside Mrs. Wallace's room. If you have questions, please email Nathan Wright.
Matthew 7:24-25 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”
