We believe that the best form of advertising for NCCS comes from your positive words and recommendations and we are grateful for the way you share your NCCS experiences with others! We are hosting our next Open House for prospective families next Thursday, May 11, at 9:30am and we would love for you invite family and friends to join us. Because this open house takes place during the school day, it is a great chance to see NCCS in action. Our open houses provide a glimpse into all that NCCS has to offer in academics, arts, athletics, and student life, all set in a close-knit Christian community. Track Athletes Advance to State Track Meet
Congratulations to the following track athletes for making it to the GHSA State Track Meet: WyKia Frelot competing in the Discus Schuyler Heflin competing in the Shot Put Synclair Savage competing in the Long Jump, 100 meter and 200 meter race
Additionally, Synclair was selected and named Class A private school Athlete of the Week for vertical jump (17-05) during the Region Competition. Way to go, Synclair!
The State Track meet will take place at Berry College May 11-13. We are so proud of these girls’ track athletes!
Varsity Baseball Advances to 2nd Round of State!
The varsity baseball team advanced to the 2nd round of the state tournament, taking place today against Savannah Christian! Great job, guys - let’s go, Eagles!

Middle School Spring Sports Wrap-up
We are so proud of our Middle School sports teams for a great spring season! MS Baseball - NCCS finished 6th in the Metro 10 with a 6 - 5 record MS Girls Soccer - NCCS finished 3rd in the Metro 10 with a 7 - 2 - 1 record MS Boys Track - NCCS finished 3rd Overall in the Metro 10 Top Finishers: 110 M Hurdles - Jon Grier - 2nd Place Pole Vault - Chase Konchak - 2nd Place Shot Put - Brock Gowens - 2nd Place Discus - Brock Gowens - 1st Place MS Girls Track - NCCS finished 5th Overall Top Finishers: 200 M Dash - Kennedy Oglesby - 1st Place 400 M Dash - Kennedy Oglesby - 2nd Place Long Jump - Kennedy Oglesby - 1st Place Discus - Palmer Heath - 3rd Place MS Girls Golf - NCCS finished 2nd in the Metro 10 Pearson Fendley finished as the 2nd lowest Overall score medalist. MS Boys Golf - NCCS finished 6th in Metro 10
Lee Cunningham Selected MDJ Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to senior Lee Cunningham who was selected as the MDJ Athlete of the Week for his excellent performance as a pitcher and at the plate against Mount Pisgah. The victories against Mount Pisgah helped NCCS secure the state playoff spot. Great job, Lee!

Academy Singers’ Spring Showcase May 12 & 13
Make plans to join us for the Academy Singers' Spring Showcase on Friday, May 12, or Saturday, May 13, at 7:00pm in the Fine Arts Building. This concert is a culmination of the year's work and is always a favorite event each year! Singers will be performing a solo of his or her choice, along with some of their ensemble favorites. Admission is free; however, each person in attendance must have a ticket to attend. Pick up tickets in the Eagles Nest School Store beginning Monday, May 8. Special note - please plan to be seated for the concert by 6:55pm. After that time, seats will be released to those without tickets.
7th & 8th Grade Full Orchestra Compete in Music in the Parks Festival
This past Friday, the 7th and 8th grade full orchestra traveled to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee to compete in the Music in the Parks Music Festival. Students worked hard and prepared to play for two judges, Dr. Culvahouse, recently retired Professor of Instrumental Music Education from KSU and UGA and Dr. Richard House from Presbyterian College. On Saturday students had the opportunity to spend the day in Dollywood Theme Park and attend the Music in the Parks Award Ceremony where they received an overall rating of "Excellent" or a Silver rating and a 1st Place in their class. Thanks to all the parents that volunteered as chaperones, making it possible for them to go on this amazing performance trip and congratulations to all the students in the 7th and 8th grade orchestra and band!

Sweet Treats With Sweet Friends
Fifth grade teacher Margie Land offers this glimpse into her popular Cooking Club - Look who is ready for a party. . . Morgan Gordon, Tylan Robich, Briley Mills, Ansley Griffin, (Background: Sienna Pierre, McKenzie Seiz) "We let our hair down and put our spatula's up!" Our middle school cooking club went "over the top" when Mrs. Titus shared a favorite family recipe with us to bake! The delicious "Chocolate Eclair dessert" was everyone"s #1 favorite, and we plan to make it again at home. Morgan said, "Our class is a blast!"

NCCS Senior Receives Acworth Business Association Scholarship
Congratulations to NCCS senior Lauren Brown for being recognized by the Acworth Business Association as a difference maker in our community. Lauren has been particularly inspired by the opportunity she has had through the Timothy mentoring program at NCCS to invest in one of our 6th graders. Lauren is going to attend The University of Georgia with the ultimate goal of becoming a nurse. We are so proud of you, Lauren!
Sport Management Class Visits Atlanta Track Club
The sport management class visited the Atlanta Track Club on Friday, April 28.
Rich Kenah, Executive Director, provided a presentation about Sports Marketing and the class was given a tour of the facility. One of the highlights of the visit was the one on one attention from the Business Development office. Students walked away with real life exposure related to what has been taught in the classroom throughout the semester.

Lower School Cheer Clinic - May 15-17
Get ready for three afternoons of FUN and EXCITEMENT as K4 through 4th graders learn cheers, chants, dances, and stunts! Join us for the last All Pro Dad's Day of the year on Friday, May 12, in the gym! Middle & Upper School Worship Team Auditions for 2017-2018
We will be hosting auditions for vocals and instruments for our Upper School Worship Team on Monday, May 15, after school. Applications can be found here and are due by May 10.
