- Lower School Principal & Head Cheerleading Coach
Wendy graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (K-8th). In 2013, she completed her Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Covenant College. Wendy holds Lifetime teaching and All-Levels Principal certificates from the Association of Christian Schools International.
Wendy has 19 years of experience as a teacher and administrator in Christian education ranging from Pre K – 7th grade. Her teaching career began in first grade at Timberlake Christian School in Lynchburg, VA. When she moved to Florida, she taught third grade at Northside Christian School. A family move to Georgia brought her to NCCS where she started teaching in 4th grade. For the past 13 years, Wendy has served at North Cobb Christian School in many different teaching positions as well as Academic Dean and Lower School Principal. Along with teaching, Wendy enjoys coaching Competition Cheerleading. She has been a part of the NCCS Cheerleading Coaching staff for 12 years.
Wendy and her husband Scott have 3 children, all of whom graduated from NCCS. Their church home is First Baptist Woodstock where they are actively involved.
Wendy enjoys spending time with her husband and children, baking, cake decorating, scrapbooking and traveling.
One of her favorite Bible verses is found in Deuteronomy 10:12-13 "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the LORD's commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?"
Why I love my job:
I love having the opportunity to invest and make a difference in students' lives. My goal is to help the students be all that God wants them to be and more! At North Cobb Christian School, I am able to watch them grow up and become godly young men and women for Christ. I am living out my dream as a child and loving every minute of it.
Golden moments at NCCS:
In fourth grade, the teachers walk the students through the process of writing their own personal Psalm to God. Through that process, I have had the opportunity to sit down with many boys and girls and share the plan of salvation. I love seeing God touch their tender hearts and call them close to Him! There is no greater joy a teacher could have than to encourage their students to know God in a personal relationship and walk with Him!
Why I work at NCCS:
I believe in and am dedicated to Christian education and embracing all learning through a Biblical Worldview. NCCS is committed to the same values and goals that my husband and I have for our children. For our family, NCCS is not just a school... it is our home and family!
