North Cobb Christian School considers the health and safety of our students one of its top priorities. Established procedures and policies are in place implementing the recommendation and review of health professionals and safety officials.
The NCCS health services clinic is staffed during school hours by a full time registered nurse with over 25 years of pediatric nursing experience. There are multiple Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) located on campus and the school nurse ensures the proper maintenance and training for these devices.
Additionally, NCCS is a designated Heart-Safe School by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
EpiPens are available in several locations throughout the school for any anaphylactic reactions and all of the faculty are trained on how to administer the EpiPens.
Health forms may be accessed through the Parents page under Forms - Health Services.
Safety and Security
NCCS has a full time Acworth Police officer on duty during school hours, a security staff member who oversees operations throughout the school day, and a security officer on duty after hours, during events, and on the weekends. The employee response team, consisting of the school nurse, security personnel, and members of the leadership team, reviews emergency plans regularly and utilizes outside consultants as needed to provide the most up-to-date assessments of campus security possible.
