As much as we love the school year here at NCCS, we also cherish the slower-paced summers! Families and teachers are able to unwind and relax—hopefully getting a chance to turn off the morning alarm! We always love hearing the stories of family adventures and personal growth.
With all the warm weather and sunshine, summer offers the chance to get away from the electronic devices and daily pressures of studies and go outside. Whether it’s swim lessons, learning to ride a bike, or star-gazing on a family camping trip, everyone can hop on the relaxation train and benefit from God’s creation!
One of the great things about Atlanta is the wide range of outdoor activities the summer months offer. Outdoor concerts or outdoor movies are something different to enjoy with your best friends. Or check out “Dinner at the Depot” food trucks in Kennesaw on Monday nights. And there is always a big summertime favorite - the Lasershow Spectacular at Stone Mountain Park - a perfect way to spend time with family and friends with a picnic dinner under the night sky! And if you need a rainy or sunny day plan, head to Lakepoint Station for rock climbing, black light and regular mini golf, laser tag, arcade games, pizza and yogurt!
If you would like to reward your first through sixth grader for continuing their summer reading, Barnes and Noble offers a free book for reading eight books and recording them in their summer journal, which can be found along with more details here.
And, of course, NCCS hosts a wide-range of camps that we’d love for your student to enjoy during July! From sports to reading to Minecraft, there’s a camp for everyone! See you there!
We hope that wherever the remainder of the summer is taking you, that will enjoy the ride! We look forward to hearing all the stories in a few weeks!
We encourage you to visit our campus and discover for yourself NCCS’s warm and welcoming atmosphere where genuine commitments to excellence, community and Christ all come together. Become part of something special — Contact us today.
