Congratulations to NCCS senior K.P. Pierre who has received college acceptances to Harvard University, Brown University, & Johns Hopkins University, in addition to his earlier acceptance at Georgia Tech! K.P. plans to study Biomedical Engineering. This past summer K.P. was selected to participate in a six-month MIT Online Science, Technology, and Engineering Community program for select rising high school seniors from across the country who have a strong academic record and interest in science and engineering. This program included a visit to MIT last July where he completed short courses in Molecular Biology and Astrophysics. As a rising junior, K.P. was selected as a participant in the Brown University Biomedical Engineering Pre-college Program in which he was one of only 25 students selected from across the United States to participate in this distinguished program hosted at Emory University and the CDC in Atlanta. This program gave K.P. the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most highly regarded leaders in the fields of Neuroscience, Biotechnology and Epidemiology. K.P. was recognized and received the highest scoring grade in the program with 99%. He also received the Lab Award for his outstanding research and lab work. We are proud of K.P. for his hard work and numerous accomplishments!
