Higher Grounds Coffee Shop at NCCS is more than just a place to grab a drink — it’s a student-driven business at the heart of campus life. Outfitted with state-of-the-art coffee and espresso equipment, this beautiful space features large windows, banquette seating, and cozy café-style tables, making it a favorite spot for students to enjoy handcrafted drinks, breakfast bites, and pastries between classes. It's a vibrant hub of innovation, community, and caffeine-fueled connection.
The Commons at NCCS is a bright, collaborative space built in 2024, serving as a hub for chapel, lunch, performances, school-wide gatherings, and more.
Step into the SOAR Lab and MakeShop, two expansive workshop spaces that comprise the Upper School STEM Center, designed to fuel creativity, innovation, and hands-on exploration. With jumbo garage-style doors that open to fresh air and an industrial design, the space is equipped with cutting-edge tools—3D printers and scanners, laser engravers, CNC routers, soldering stations, table saws, scroll saws, sewing and textile machines, and more. Whether you’re building, probing, or prototyping, it’s a launchpad for STEM discovery and real-world problem-solving—right here on campus.
North Cobb Christian School’s science program is powered by university-grade labs, complete with designated lab prep rooms to support a wide range of hands-on experiments and scientific exploration. These state-of-the-art spaces are outfitted with advanced technology and professional equipment, giving students rich experience in disciplines like biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. Whether conducting lab investigations, collaborating on research, or preparing for STEM careers, students thrive in an environment that fuses academic excellence with a biblical foundation of wonder and discovery.
The Lower School STEAM Courtyard allows students in K3 through 4th grade to cultivate a seasonal garden—learning about sustainability, plant life cycles, and healthy eating—while enjoying the reward of harvesting produce they’ve grown themselves. The courtyard also features a greenhouse structure, thoughtfully designed and constructed by Upper School engineering students. This award-winning structure, which earned an International STEM Award from Grand Canyon University, features custom potting shelves, a water-collection system, and an all-seasons workspace for planting and prep.
The Commons patio at NCCS is a favorite outdoor gathering spot for students to dine al fresco, soak up the sun, and enjoy meaningful moments with friends. Outfitted with tables, chairs, and comfortable seating areas, the patio offers an open-air space for eating lunch, studying outdoors, or collaborating on group projects.
The Co-Op is a dynamic, student-centered space designed to foster collaboration and independent learning. Located within the Upper School facility, this versatile area serves as a hub where students can engage in group projects, hold study sessions, or simply relax between classes. The Co-Op is thoughtfully equipped with comfortable seating, ample natural light, and modern furnishings, creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages both academic focus and social connection.
The Loft is a bright, welcoming space at NCCS designed for students to recharge and refocus. With sunlit banquettes, tables, and cozy seating, it’s the perfect place to relax between classes, study for a test, or work quietly on assignments in a calm, comfortable setting.
The Lower School Reading Room at NCCS is a cozy, mural-filled haven designed to ignite a lifelong love of reading. Surrounded by whimsical scenes of favorite literary characters like Peter Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh, the Penguin, and the Very Hungry Caterpillar, K3 - 4th-grade students enjoy weekly visits to explore new stories, listen to read-alouds, and check out books. It’s a joyful, inspiring space where reading becomes an adventure and positive associations with books take root early.
Surrounding the campus of North Cobb Christian School are expansive wooded acres, offering a peaceful, natural backdrop to daily student life. Winding trails weave through the trees and a designated outdoor learning area provides the perfect setting for science class and fresh-air lessons.
