Preschool K4 Homepage
Welcome to our K4 homepage!
We have made it to FALL BREAK!!! We had a full week of learning and fun. I pray that you are able to find rest as we enjoy this time off.
Please see the important reminders at the bottom of this homepage for some important announcements.
In Phonics, we began instructing the students on how to use our red reading baskets. These are the letters/sounds we have learned so far- C,O,S,A,D,G,L. Can your student recognize upper case, lower case, and tell you the sound of each letter?
In Math, we continued our counting unit. We played games that helped us to practice one-to-one correspondence. Several times a week we are having Math talks. Math talks are oral instructions in group time where we allow the students opportunities to learn more about how numbers work. It has been a lot of fun!
In Chapel, Mrs. Titus introduced us to the next “Fruit of the Spirit” which is LOVE! Love says, “I will put others first.”
In Bible, we learned about Moses when he was a baby and how God protected him. Also, we learned about Hannah and her special prayer to God. Two of our favorite Old Testament stories!
Here is a preview of what we will be learning next week!

Grandparents' Day is Friday, 10-8. On Friday, October 8, we look forward to welcoming our grandparents and grandfriends onto campus for a morning of celebration! If you are new to NCCS, Grandparents / Grandfriends Day is one of our most beloved annual traditions.
Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. We will start with coffee and a continental breakfast in the gym, followed by our special program, which will begin at 8:30. While we are excited to welcome our precious grandparents on campus, we will also be providing a livestream link for those who prefer to watch from home. We will share the link shortly.
Following the program, grandparents/ grandfriends are invited to check their Lower School grandchild(ren) out to spend the day together! Go have lunch, play outside, or maybe even take a nap in preparation to return for Fall Festival! Please note that we will not have instructional lessons after the program that day due to the number of students who typically leave with their families.
For our students who are remaining with us on campus, please pack a lunch and snack (unless they pre-purchased the meal plan).

Learning Expedition to the Farm!
To celebrate completing our farm unit, we will go to Pettit Creek Farms on Wednesday, October 13th! We will see farm animals, go through a corn maze, enjoy a hayride and so much more. The best part is that you are invited! Click the link HERE for details and the permission form. All parents who wish to attend must complete this form by October 5th.
