Vocal Arts

The Vocal Arts Program begins from the moment a child walks in the doors at NCCS. Starting in K3, students are introduced to General Music classes where they learn the skills necessary to start a life in music. As they matriculate into Middle and Upper Schools the vocal program follows them with choral offerings every year. In the vocal arts program, we consider music and song gateways to the soul. Singing is powerful and we want to help students recognize their abilities and harness that power!

There are six independent performing vocal ensembles at NCCS – two in Lower School, two in Middle School, and two in Upper School. These choirs perform at various events throughout the year such as Grandparent’s Day, Fall concerts, Veteran’s Day, Christmas concerts, Disney World, and local community events.

Upper School students also have the opportunity to participate in the Academy of the Arts, which offers an Academy Singers track for students interested in more intense exploration of the arts.

An NCCS Academy Singer performs on stage.
