culinary / destinations

Delicious variety, daily!

Flik has reinvented the NCCS cafeterias with multiple culinary destinations where students can customize their meals with hot entrees, sides, soup, salad, sandwiches, and more, as part of our all-you-care-to-eat model. Stations include:

CHEF’S SELECTION | All students, every day! | Hot entree rotating daily.

DELI + SALAD BARS | From composed, pre-packaged salads and sandwiches to build-your-own salad and sandwich bars, our students will have an opportunity to customize sandwiches and fresh salads.

SWOOP SIDES | A station featuring tasty “extras,” including hummus, yogurt, fresh fruit, carrot sticks with ranch, and more -- varying each day!

SOUP SPOT | Students will have access to a rotating selection of house-made soups and chilis!

WATERWORKS + THIRST QUENCHERS | Lower School will be served bottled water, milk, and rotating juices; and Middle - Upper will have a choice of infused waters and a beverage fountain (in The Commons).

All-Inclusive Dining at NCCS | Powered by Flik Independent School Dining

At NCCS, every student from K3 through 12th grade enjoys a high-quality, all-inclusive dining experience — at no additional cost to families. Through our partnership with Flik Independent School Dining, mealtime becomes more than just a break in the day — it’s an opportunity for community, customization, and nutrition.

Quality + Customization
Gone are the days of one-size-fits-all lunch trays. Our student-centric dining model offers a multi-station setup where students can build their meals with freedom and flexibility. Whether they’re craving something classic or adventurous, students enjoy fresh, flavorful options tailored to their preferences.

Nutrition + Food Philosophy
NCCS chose Flik for their exceptional reputation in scratch-based, nutrition-focused meal preparation. A registered Flik dietitian and executive chef collaborate on menu design, ensuring a balance of flavor, health, and variety. From sourcing high-quality ingredients to promoting sustainability and wellness, Flik brings a top-tier dining experience to our school community.

Food Allergies + Dietary Restrictions
The safety and well-being of every student is a priority. That’s why our NCCS Dining team works closely with our school nurses, parents, and Flik’s dietitian to provide custom, individual meals for students with allergies or dietary restrictions. These meals are safely prepared and served in a designated area to prevent cross-contact and ensure peace of mind.

Whether it’s a kindergartner discovering new favorite foods or a senior athlete fueling up for game day, the dining program at NCCS reflects our commitment to nourishing the whole student — body, mind, and spirit.

special theme days

At NCCS, our Food Services team loves to spice things up by hosting special themed dining days throughout the year! These events not only add fun and variety to mealtime but also provide opportunities for students to experience diverse cultures and cuisines — all without leaving campus.

From celebrating local sports teams to showcasing international flavors, these themed days are thoughtfully planned with custom menus, festive décor, and cultural inspiration. Menus are shared in advance so students know what to look forward to.

A few favorites from past years:

  • Hispanic Heritage Day
  • Francophile French Cuisine
  • A Day at the Braves Ballpark
  • Pacific Islander Day
  • And many more!

These themed experiences reflect our commitment to community, creativity, and cultural appreciation — one meal at a time.
