Join us in congratulating Officer Amanda Sparacio on being named NCCS Director of Security!
Officer Amanda was born in Florida but spent most of her young life in Central New Jersey. Growing up, she says that she always had an interest in law enforcement and knew from a young age that she wanted to be involved in public safety.
While in college, she completed an internship with a federal law enforcement agency, which solidified her career path. After graduating from The University of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey, with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Amanda moved to Georgia to pursue a criminal justice career near her family in Atlanta.
Throughout her time in law enforcement, she worked both patrol and corrections, ultimately attaining the rank of corporal, a first-line supervisor.
While speaking with a friend one fateful day in early 2020, she learned of a security opening at North Cobb Christian School and decided to apply. She says, “I felt that being a school resource officer was the best way to blend my passion for public safety with my desire to make an impact on young lives.”
Amanda’s husband,, whom, ironically, she met while they were on duty in jail, commands the criminal investigations division for a local police agency and helps coach JV Eagles baseball. They have a newborn son (Luca), a stepdaughter (Alexis), and two dogs (Koda and Zoey) who round out their family.
Amanda heads up the NCCS security team, which also includes Head of School Todd Clingman, and School Resource Officers Matthew Shier and Bernard Johnson. Thank you all for working diligently to help make NCCS a safe and secure place for our students to thrive!
