Avery Bayes, NCCS Class of 2022, is named STAR Student.

Congratulations to Avery Bayes for being named STAR Student for North Cobb Christian School at the 55th annual Student Teacher Achievement Recognition banquet! The 27 top-performing high school seniors from throughout the county were selected to receive this honor, based on SAT scores and grade point average. The program also recognizes the teachers who most influenced the students' academic success. Avery named Ms. Sarah Cook (College English 1010 and 1020; shown in third pic). Avery plans to attend UGA to major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

In addition to being named STAR Student, Avery was awarded a Cobb EMC Scholarship, KBA Scholarship, Paul Chastain Citizen Scholarship, Auburn University Presidential Scholarship, South Carolina University Superlative Scholarship, Mississippi State University Merit Scholarship, UAB Merit Scholarship, and University of Tennessee Merit Scholarship.

Her extracurricular activities are equally impressive, as she is a member of the National Honor Society; BETA Club; National French Honor Society; Tri-M Music Honor Society; tennis team; chorus; orchestra; the spring musical; student government; robotics; and the NCCS Academy of Counseling, Ministry and Education (ACME). 

Avery's honors include earning the Georgia Certificate of Merit; Advanced ACME Outstanding Student Award; AP Chemistry Outstanding Student Award; Honors Pre-Calculus Outstanding Student Award; Collaboration, Computers, Cloud Outstanding Student Award; Honors Chemistry Outstanding Student Award; Honors Geometry Outstanding Student Award; Literature of the New Testament Outstanding Student Award; French 2 Outstanding Student Award; French Speaking Competition: Excellent Rating; Principal’s Honor Roll (2018-2022); and Distinguished Scholars Program.
