Annual Events

Four girls smile big at Circle of Prayer outside at NCCS.

The Student Life experience at NCCS includes several foundational annual events, during which our student body comes together to worship, pray and grow closer to the Lord, side by side

From a week focusing on spiritual growth to a morning united in prayer with our community, we know that Matthew 18:20 is true: Where two or more are gathered in His name, there He is, indeed.

Spiritual Emphasis Week (SEW) is an intentional week of spiritual growth, particularly with our Middle and Upper School students. Typically held in February, students participate in special chapels every day, culminating in a memorable All School Chapel on Friday. During this schoolwide time of prayer, worship and growth, parents, faculty, staff, and students from every grade level attend. Student testimonies from SEW are always a strong reminder of the importance of setting aside time to intentionally recommit our lives to the Lord.

The Annual Circle of Prayer is a community-wide tradition that begins each new school year by bathing NCCS in prayer, preparing our hearts and minds for all that God has in store for our Eagle family. This special morning of prayer and worship is a community event for all of our faculty, staff, parents, pastors, community leaders, and students from every grade level.

2020 Circle of Prayer

Throughout the school year, our Upper School students gather for Worship Nights. Led by our Student Life department, these special evenings create a space for our students to experience Jesus in a deeper, more personal way.

“Unquestionably, my children would not be who they are without North Cobb Christian School. Our commitment to a NCCS education has been an investment into the very minds, hearts, spirits and souls of our children. There is nothing on earth that could be a better investment.” – NCCS Parent
