Retreat kicked off with a BANG as our students enjoyed ziplining, playing trampoline basketball, fishing, diving into the lake, flying down the huge waterslide, rocketing off The Blob, and just enjoying being outside with each other on Woodlands's beautiful campus!

Our MS Retreat theme this year is "Call to Duty: The Armor of God." Students will be studying from scriptures about the spiritual battles they face and how God's Word gives them all the power and authority to face these battles.

This evening, The Jonathan Ray Band led worship, helping to prepare students' hearts to hear the word. Our retreat speaker Algernon Tennyson, made it real by teaching who the real enemy is, and how to STAND with God's power and strength.

In cabin groups they read Luke 6: 27-36 and discussed what it meant to love, to do good, and to be kind to others.

After small group time, we had an awesome dodgeball tournament where cabin rooms competed against each other. Boys 7th grade Nissi, Boys 8th grade Elyon, Girls 7th grade Shaddai, and Girls 8th grade Shaddai won their tournaments! They also finished the night with Blue Bell ice cream served by the staff at Woodlands!!

We are excited about Day 2 and can't wait to what God does through our fellowship and dedication of this time to growing closer to Him and to each other!
