7th | The Ark Trip | Post #2

Blog Post #2

The 7th grade spring term trip to the Ark was SO incredible, and I would definitely do it again! We went to the Ark Encounter and Main Event on the first day and got to walk through the ship learning about the flood. It had many interesting exhibits, but my favorite one was when we walked through the exhibit about how Noah and his family lived, cooked, slept, and took care of the animals the entire time they were stuck on the Ark.

A group of students on a bridge in Ohio with a metal bridge over them.

On the second day, we got to go to the Cincinnati Zoo, the Creation Museum, and a dinner boat cruise on the river. I loved, at the Creation Museum, how we got to walk around and learn about the dinosaurs, and how we got to walk through and pet kangaroos at both the zoo and the museum. The dinner boat was so cool, and we created a dance circle that the faculty danced in the middle of. (Even Mr. Ewing danced, and it was fabulous!)

On the third day, we went to a park overlooking the river, the Cincinnati Museum, and Graeter’s Ice Cream before heading home. I loved the Cincinnati Museum because we got to walk around a cave and an exhibit set up to be a 1900s town. I have learned a lot about the flood and God’s faithfulness to Noah, and this trip has helped me realize how great and wonderful our God is. Everyone on the trip had an amazing time, and at least for me, it was definitely a highlight of the school year.
