Monday 1/5

by Max Bowman, Sophomore

Team Building & Prep // Today we started in the classroom with a devotional to set the tone for the day. After that, we made warm blankets to donate to the shelter we’re visiting tomorrow, which was really cool knowing they’ll help someone in need.

We ended the day at Lakepoint Station doing team-building games and just having fun together. It was a great way to relax, bond as a group, and get excited for what’s coming next!

Tuesday 1/6

by Knox Honaker, Sophomore

Our group went to Seven Bridges to help people experiencing homelessness. We made sack lunches and walked around handing them out. At first, it felt a little awkward, but it was amazing to see how thankful people were. After giving out the food, we also prayed for them. It reminded me that people need more than just food—they need hope, kindness, and care. This trip showed me that even small actions can make a big difference. I’m really glad we went because it helped me see how important it is to help others, care for those who are struggling, and be thankful for what we have.

Wednesday 1/7

by MaryElla Whitmire, 10th

Today we served at Truth and Nature. Truth and Nature is an organization that pours into fatherless boys and shares the gospel. They do activities like hunting, fishing, and camping with the boys. Today, we helped out around the grounds by organizing stations, cleaning windows and cabins, and cleaning ATVs. We finished all of our projects a little bit early and got to end the day with games and fellowship.

Thursday 1/8

by CJ Thompson, 9th

Today we were able to serve our community in Kennesaw and show the work and joy of God. We partnered with JavaJoy Coffee and were able to make people’s day by giving them free coffee. We also worked as a team, with some of us offering coffee and others getting it and bringing it over. While walking around and giving out coffee, we were able to get to know each other better. This showed us that we can spread joy and share the word of God through our actions.

On Thursday, we visited Burnt Hickory Baptist Preschool to spend time with the kids there. We played with them, helped them with their activities, and even shared a little about Jesus. It was amazing to see the joy and laughter that came simply from spending time together. Afterward, we wrapped up our day by playing at recess with our prayer partners—what a fun and meaningful way to end the day!
