In the fall of 2017, the NCCS leadership felt a prompting from the Lord that the school was poised for expansion, having spent the last decade diligently growing the academics, arts, athletics and student life programs, improving the school’s financial portfolio, adding 45 acres to the campus, and updating the current grounds and facilities. In light of these advancements and the need for expansion, NCCS partnered with The J.F. Smith Group to conduct a feasibility study in order to gather feedback about NCCS and to test a board-proposed list of possible future projects. The study not only returned positive results regarding the school and the probability of a successful campaign, but it also revealed that our constituents strongly believed that an upper school building was the next phase of advancement needed in the life of NCCS.
Therefore, in January of 2018, North Cobb Christian School launched His Plan|Our Time, a capital campaign focused on constructing a new state-of-the-art upper school building, as well as adding a parking lot and relocating the middle school baseball/softball field.
What is the campaign goal?
The working goal is set at $6,250,000. This will allow us to build the first phase of the upper school building, construct the parking lot and relocate the middle school baseball/softball field. We have a vision goal of $12 million, which would allow us to build the entire upper school building in this campaign.
What will be included in the upper school building?
The new upper school building will have classrooms, science and computer labs, dining and kitchen space for upper and middle school, the student life office, common areas for student meetings and collaboration, administrative offices, guidance offices, and more. It will be designed for the 21st century learner and contain the most up-to-date security features.
How can I participate?
First and foremost, please pray for the campaign and those involved. Please also pray about how your family might financially support the campaign. If you feel led to contribute to His Plan|Our Time, please contact Tara Dorsey by e-mail or (770) 975-0252 x136.
