MY HOW WE'VE GROWN
Where We've Come From
From humble beginnings with four dedicated families and 10 acres of land ... to today’s 1,275 students on 55 expansive acres, our campus has expanded into a beautiful, welcoming "home away from home" for our students.
Today ... NCCS's Beautiful 55+ Acres
Every space of our campus is purposefully designed to develop our students' unique genius -- from fields to conditioning spaces to arts studios to stages to STEM labs.
Where We're Headed
Recent campus expansions included phase 1 and 2 of our beautiful Upper School building. Students moved into phase 1 in early 2021, and will move into phase 2 in 2024. The school's Master Site Plan includes future plans to build and expand arts and athletics facilities next, fully utilizing our beautiful, expansive acreage.
The 38,000-square-foot NCCS Upper School, complete with a STEM Center, SOAR Lab, and MakeShop, was designed to foster 21st century learning and collaboration.
NCCS is nestled between bustling historic Acworth and downtown Kennesaw.
The NCCS campus covers 55+ picturesque, wooded acres, adjacent to Red Top Mountain and Lake Allatoona.
NCCS's championship-caliber athletic teams practice, play and pray on first-rate fields and courts.
Campus Highlights
Our love for NCCS began from the first moment we stepped inside. The warm greetings, smiling faces and good energy flooded my spirit, and immediately I knew this was a special school.

The History of NCCS
We look back at the last four-plus decades with amazement and humility. As a school family, we are filled with immense gratitude for all that God has provided for the good of our students. This is His school, and to Him be the glory!
Housed within Grace Brethren Church in Marietta, NCCS received its official nonprofit status, elected a board of directors, and joined the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) in 1984.
In 1987, 10 acres of land was purchased near the borderline of Acworth and Kennesaw, and construction began. By February 1989, the building was complete! NCCS's first sweet little building was ready to welcome many excited families.
In 1989, NCCS’s first eighth-grade class graduated! Enrollment continued to climb.
As NCCS's reputation of providing an excellent education within a Christ-centered environment grew, enrollment exploded. In 1995, at 300 students, a critical need emerged for enlarged space and expanded learning environments.
With exploding growth, NCCS kicked off a capital campaign in 1996 to finance an addition that added 30 classrooms, a gymnasium, science lab, media center, two cafeterias and office space.
The school opened its doors in the fall of 1997 to high school students, adding one grade level each year.
Because of the Lord’s rich blessings, miraculous contributions, and many generous donations, a new addition was completed!
With a total school enrollment of 910, the first senior class of North Cobb Christian School graduated in 2000. Eagle alumni were officially launched into the world!
Our first year with the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA), NCCS was named overall champion in the 4AA region for competition in athletics and fine arts!
North Cobb Christian moved up to AAA competition and ranked as the eighth largest private school in Metro Atlanta.
Head of School Todd Clingman joined the Eagle family in 2007. The NCCS Academies (magnet programs) were launched in the Upper School, allowing students to “major” in a field of study that aligns with their collegiate and career plans, including The Academy of Business; The Academy of Counseling, Ministry and Education; The Academy of the Arts; The STEM Academy; and Academy of Exercise and Sport Science.
Additional property, along with a football program, was added! The success of NCCS athletic programs led to a jump to the Georgia High School Association.
A Campus Master Plan was launched, adding the Fine Arts Building, Upper School building with math and science labs, the athletic stadium, expanded dining areas, and facility upgrades.
Science labs, classrooms, and band and orchestra rooms were added. Additionally, space was renovated for the Upper School Student Life Center, and the Field House was completed for athletics and PE classes.
Property acquisitions expanded the NCCS campus from 16 acres to over 40! Adjacent former church property was transformed into our state-of-the-art Fine Arts Building.
NCCS continued to expand, holding ribbon cuttings for a beautiful tennis complex, practice field, and a new entrance on Eagle Drive.
The cutting-edge, 38,000-square-foot NCCS Upper School was unveiled in 2020, complete with a STEM Center, SOAR Lab, and MakeShop designed to foster 21st century innovation and collaboration.
We remained true to the mission of bonding together to provide the best Christian education possible — preparing today’s children for tomorrow’s challenges.
