Find a Local Church

In alignment with our belief that children and teens thrive when provided with a three-legged stool of unity between home, church, and school, we strongly encourage all NCCS families to become consistently involved in a local church. Check out our church directory.

UNITY + BELONGING

The NCCS Vision for Unity + Belonging

North Cobb Christian School strives to intentionally reflect the biblical mandate to love our neighbor as ourselves, fostering a culture of hospitality and belonging.

We strive to deepen our understanding, respect and love for others, while assessing and improving our programs and experiences, resulting in a beautifully diverse, biblically grounded community that is unified, enriched and unhindered as we impact the world for Christ.

A group of Upper School students prays together at North Cobb Christian School.

"After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands..."

Strategic Plan 2024-2027

In 2024, the NCCS board and administration published the Strategic Plan, outlining six initiatives to cultivate a Christ-centered school culture, elevate our exemplary academic experience, and ensure next-level opportunities for our students to thrive for generations to come. Initiative II supports biblical unity and belonging.

Initiative II | NCCS will continue to sustain a school culture where all members feel valued, loved, physically safe, emotionally secure, affirmed in their identity in Christ, and united in the gospel. 2.1 STUDENTS Cultivate a strong sense of community and belonging among students by offering peer support through excellent mentorship programs, furthering student leadership opportunities, and connecting all students through traditions and events.
2.2 PARENTS Ignite a strong sense of community and belonging among parents by implementing a parent ambassador and mentorship program to support new families, ensuring understanding of school culture, inviting new families to events, and making sure that all parents are given opportunities to feel connected, valued, and supported.
2.3 UNITY + DIVERSITY Foster biblical unity, understanding, and empathy through the purposeful planning of experiences that reflect the diversity embodied by our school community, including hosting school-wide events, inviting students and parents to roundtable discussions, utilizing survey results to gather stakeholder feedback, and intentionally seeking out campus guests and speakers who represent the diverse cultural perspectives and backgrounds within the body of Christ, grounded in a biblical worldview.

Biblical Unity + Diversity Focus Areas

Four areas of intentionality for unity + belonging at NCCS:

  1. Teaching + Learning. Classrooms + curriculum, school trips, and learning expeditions that instill an uncompromising biblical worldview while celebrating the rich cultural threads that are woven together to unite us as the body of Christ.

  2. Student Experience. NCCS values opportunities for students to gain an appreciation of diverse cultures while leaning into how God has uniquely created them to impact the world for Christ. Opportunities span the arts, athletics, academics, and student life, including Timothy Program peer mentoring, Global Impact Program, International Student Program, retreats, chapel speakers, Spring Term, MS + US Small Groups, and the NCCS Family Heritage Walk (held every other year, during Fall Festival).

  3. Employee Experience. NCCS values recruiting and hiring educators and staff members from diverse backgrounds, engaging in staff development, and prioritizing Strategic Plan initiatives that support biblical unity, hospitality, and a sense of belonging for all students, families, and employees.

  4. Parent Experience + Engagement. Parents at NCCS are given many opportunities to become involved and to share their family's cultural heritage, including through the NCCS Family Heritage Walk (held during Fall Festival), Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) events and volunteer opportunities, Grandparent's Day, Circle of Prayer, hosting international students, being a classroom guest speaker, providing mentoring and internships for our NCCS Academy students, and more.
